SHIPPING POLICY
Orders typically ship within 48-72 hours of your order being placed. If for some reason we experience a delay, we will contact you via email. We ship Monday - Friday (excluding US Holidays) from the San Diego, California area.
RUSH ORDERS: If you need your order in a rush email us after placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate your needs, this may require additional shipping costs that we will inform you of.
DOMESTIC FLAT RATE: We charge $12.97 for all orders under $200, and shipping is FREE for orders over $200. Including Puerto Rico.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We do offer International Shipping to Canada and the United Kingdom, we are hoping to expand that our shipping regions soon. International Shipping is always more costly! For the first two weeks of opening day we are offering the following shipping rates:
Orders up to $100 $59
Orders $100-$200 $69
Orders $200-Up $79
These rates may change after the first few weeks as we work hard to figure out what we are shipping most, to where, and for how much. Thank you!
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to ship to all international locations. We are currently only offering the rates above through the USPS International services.
For orders heavier than 6lbs we will notify you after placing your order with the calculated international rate. You will have the opportunity to cancel your order at that point.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Hi! We hope you get your order love it, but if we made an error and shipped an incorrect item please email us at info@melanatedfabrics.com so we can fix it right away!
All sales on Melanated Fabrics are final and once your order has been cut, we cannot accept refunds or offer exchanges for other products in the shop.
We try really hard to ensure that the color of the fabric on the site matches as close as possible to the fabric in the shop. We photograph in natural light, but due to the many differences in monitors and mobile devices, it is not possible to guarantee the colors are exactly as you saw them on the website. We offer the option to order swatches, so if you want to make sure the color is exactly what you need please order a swatch.
We try to provide care instructions for most of our fabrics. The care instructions come from the manufacturer are included in the hangtag included in your order. Please follow the care instructions on the hangtag or description on the site as we are unable to accept returns for fabric that has been damaged in the pre-treating process.

SUSTAINABILITY
Melanated Fabrics is making an ongoing effort to provide GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified fabrics. We would like to have a consistent amount of natural fiber and eco-friendly fabrics in the shop. We are always learning more about sustainably and how to source the fabrics you want. This is an ongoing effort!
