OPEN SEW HOURLY (2hr Min)

Service Description

Open Sew is a great opportunity for you and your friends to enjoy sewing together in a creative space with tons of room or for you to focus on a project at your own pace. Maybe you have a project you want to work on but don't have the space or tools to fully enjoy the process, now you can come to sew here at your pace. Sewists can use our creative center sewing machines, sergers, cutting tables, irons, and other sewing tools. One of the goals at Melanated Fabrics is to create a dope community of people who share the love of creating. Open Sew is available Wednesday-Friday between the hours of 12 pm and 5 pm. In the event no classes are scheduled for a month, Open Sew will be available on Saturday & Sundays also. Book per-hour sessions or monthly sessions at a discounted rate.

Cancellation Policy

We are excited to welcome you to our in person classes! We will be easing back into our full event calendar and expect to add more workshops throughout fall. Please read below for our Covid-19 safety policy. By registering for any of our in-person workshops, you are agreeing to the following: Masks: We strongly encourage mask wearing in our creative center. The mayor of Atlanta has issued a mask mandate so we will require you to wear a mask indoors during class. Refunds or class credits will not be given to those who cannot participate due to refusal to wear a proper mask. Class sizes will be limited to accommodate physical distancing. If you have been exposed to Covid-19 within 14 days of the workshop and have not been fully vaccinated OR if you have been fully vaccinated but are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 following a possible exposure: please email us ASAP to cancel your class registration. You will receive a credit equal to the amount of your class fee, which can be used toward any future classes on a future date. We are unable to provide refunds. Please note: Non-Covid exposure cancelations are subject to our standard 48-hour cancelation policy. Thank you in advance! We will be following CDC and local guidance for gatherings. We will be limiting the use of shared tools/ surfaces whenever possible. Hand sanitizer and a sink for hand washing will be available before, during, and after class. This policy will be updated as CDC & local guidance changes.
